These doors complement the interior layout inspired by the gradual progression of Confucianism in Nine Chambers, as well as the enclosed indoor and private garden designs. The corridors, courtyards, eaves, and pavilions form a Chinese-style courtyard that provides a sense of separation without complete enclosure, following the concept of “separated yet interconnected.” The semi-translucent courtyard walls and fences echo the external garden scenery, creating distinct spaces such as the main garden, front courtyard for guests, backyard for the homeowner, and small courtyard for guest rooms, each with its own unique charm.
